He has worked in TV, radio, books, newspapers and magazines - as well as schools, libraries, museums, bookshops, and George Bernard Shaw's back garden.

His TV writing for children includes Saturday Superstore, one hundred episodes of The Dennis the Menace and Gnasher Show, and the teatime TV science series Panic Station. (Mike has a First Class Honours degree in Botany & Zoology from King's College, London.)
