Mike
Barfield is a comic writer, cartoonist, poet and
performer with 25 years' experience.
He has worked in TV, radio, books, newspapers and magazines - as well as schools, libraries, museums, bookshops, and George Bernard Shaw's back garden.
Mike also wrote, produced and presented the BSB satellite TV children's show Comic Cuts - all about comics, drawing and cartooning.
For older audiences, he has written for many classic programmes including Spitting Image, Rory Bremner, You Are What You Eat and Location, Location, Location.
Married, and a dad of two, Mike has further expanded his repertoire to include highly entertaining school visits where he hosts prose and poetry 'wordshops' that foster creative and humorous thinking.
He is VAT registered, CRB Enhanced, and a black belt in origami.
